These Photos of Nick Foles in a Jaguars Uniform are Hard to See

Everyone’s not OK with Carson Wentz as the quarterback of the future for the Eagles.

In the offseason, the Birds let Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles walk away. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. And as Jags camp opened today, it gave us some of the first glimpses of Nick Foles in a Jaguars uniform.

Looks like he’s got a real healthy back. Hope our guy does, too.

Blink once if you’re OK, Nick. Oh, that’s right. This guy doesn’t blink.

This isn’t the first time Foles has appeared in Jags clothes but it’s the start of training camp. And at Eagles camp, Carson Wentz did show up ready to play. Whether or not he’s healthy, we’ll probably have to wait until the season starts for real in September.

The Birds did post this to Twitter earlier Thursday.

It’s great and all that he was able to hit Desean Jackson with no one rushing him and no one covering Desean Jackson, but …

If there’s one big knock on Wentz that makes Foles a better option at quarterback, it’s the ability to hit the deep pass. Foles completed them on the biggest stage. And when Wentz has had the opportunity, he’s often come up short.

Oh yeah, the injuries, too. In addition to coming up short on the deep passes too many times when it mattered, Wentz also tends to pull up lame at the end of the season.

Rooting for Wentz, Still Thinking We Let the Better QB Get Away

It may not work out well for Foles in Jacksonville. And the Eagles look like they’re poised for a big year … or is that something we always think?

But that won’t mean the Eagles made the right pick in taking Wentz over Foles. It would have defied conventional thinking but wasn’t that what led them to the Super Bowl in the first place?

We’ll root for Wentz but mostly we’re rooting for the Birds. Still think we made a big mistake.
