Excessive Heat Warning – Schuylkill County
On top of the hottest temperatures of the year, the coal region is going to be swamped in the muggiest weather, too.
High temperatures predicted for the weekend:
- Friday: 93
- Saturday: 97
- Sunday: 94
Add in the humidity and National Weather Service predicts the following Heat Index values:
- Friday: 110
- Saturday: 110
- Sunday: 104
They say Saturday will be the hottest.
And during the weekend-long Excessive Heat Warning, there’s no relief at night. The mugginess will persist and feel oppressive. Low temperatures in the mid-70s are expected overnight through the weekend.
The heat wave breaks on Monday when temperatures drop all the way to 87.
