National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for Schuylkill County until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29.
Schuylkill is 1 of 40 counties included in the watch area.
A similar watch was posted on Tuesday. Storms moving through the coal region did drop some larger-sized hail in some sections of Schuylkill County.
A Tornado Watch indicates that severe thunderstorms have the potential to spawn tornadoes. It doesn’t mean tornadoes are likely, but are a threat.
