The Next Day
A day after Murphy’s laid to rest, the case against woman accused of killing him goes forward.
On Thursday, March 14, Megan Hall will appear in an Orleans County Magistrate Court for a Preliminary Hearing. It’s scheduled for 3 p.m. Central.
Hall faces second-degree murder charges in the death of Murphy.
Police believe she can be the only person who killed Murphy in a room at the Empress Hotel in New Orleans on February 28.
Attorneys representing Hall say they have a side of this story to tell.
However, if Hall is found guilty, she faces life in jail.
