It’s no surprise that Schuylkill County residents would come to the defense of their own — for better or worse.
This time, they’re coming to the defense, it seems, of Pottsville businessman Pat Murphy. He was murdered on Thursday morning in New Orleans.
The woman accused of killing Murphy is currently at large. Her name is Megan Hall, according to her arrest warrant. She’s a 25-year-old prostitute originally from Tennessee.
“Magen Hall” Profile
On Facebook, Hall goes by Magen Hall, apparently. It’s looks like the same woman in photos released by New Orleans PD and the woman on this profile is clearly a prostitute. However, it appears the woman in the photos released by police look considerably younger than the person in these profile photos. Hall identifies as self-employed.
And county residents are not holding back.
The latest post on Hall’s profile is dated February 20 at 4:21 a.m.

To say the least, her profile is cringe-worthy. It shows a woman who tries to glamorize a prostitute’s lifestyle. All surface, no substance. A life on the run.
Here she is walking down a street in an unidentified location. The post is dated October 2018.
In none of the photos is she in the same place. She’s usually showing off what she believes to be her good looks. This is to get the attention of men, mostly, who reply with comments she’s looking to get. Some comments are outright offers to buy her “services”.
Really, it’s sad when you consider she’s been running from or into the law since before she was 18 years old. We watched the videos she’s posted on her account and it’s obvious, sex work is the ONLY thing she knows. And now, allegedly murder. You have to wonder, who’s she paying? Who does she know now and how?
When you compare her life to the life she allegedly ended on Thursday morning, it couldn’t be a more stark contrast. And for any Schuylkill County resident, it’s likely hard to fathom a life like “Magen’s”.

For starters, nobody even knows for sure, if this woman is even the true murderer, there could have been other’s involved. I’d be willing to bet that the people talking shit about this female have solicited prostitution before. As far as Murphy well karma is real. If you’re gonna use your head in a inappropriate way, it’s will catch up with you eventually.

I doubt that a murdering prostitute cares about the idle threats on her Facebook page. People are so tough sitting behind their computer. It is almost embarrasing to read some of the comments. I feel bad for his family. Honestly, it was a selfish decision on his part. Play with the devil and you might get burned.

Was there a window in the bathroom? Did she have an accomplice that she was telling to “get back in the bathroom !”?
