Five Schuylkill League football players have been named to the 2018 WNEP Super 16 Dream Team.
The news station selects the 32 best players in northeast Pennsylvania. An event honoring the players and announcing award winners will air on WNEP-TV at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27.
Local Players on 2018 WNEP Super 16 Dream Team
Here are the standout players from the 2018 high school football season honored by WNEP:
Jim Thorpe Olympians got two players on the team. Seniors Dylan Dailey (DE/HB) and Ethan Mordaunt (DT/OG) made the squad. They’ll be joined by a pair of North Schuylkill Spartans, juniors Jake Green (DL/FB) and Tyler Edson (LB/FB).
Tamaqua junior Nate Boyle (LB/RB) was also named to the Dream Team.
Aside from the honor of being named to the team, the following awards are also presented:

Defensive Player of the Year
Overall Player of the Year
Scholar-Athlete
George Curry Coach of the Year Award
