Inmates at Federal Prison in Schuylkill County Facing Weapons Charges

Each allegedly had shanks

Three inmates at the federal prison in Schuylkill County have been indicted on weapons charges.

The US Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced the following inmates were indicted by a federal grand jury earlier this week: Damonta King, 19; Lesundre Zacharie, 25; and Dorian Myles, 37.

It’s alleged in their indictments that each inmate at FCI-Minersville possessed shanks during their incarceration.

Zacharie allegedly had two weapons, including a six-inch piece of plexiglass sharpened to a point, and a four-inch razon blade attached to a plastic pen.

Myles had a sharpened four-inch piece of plexiglass. And a corrections officer allegedly found a shank on King’s person during a pat-down search.

According to federal prison records, Zacharie was serving up to 60 months on drug and weapons charges and was due for release on May 18.

Myles was sentenced in 2024 to 97 months in federal prison on methamphetamine trafficking charges and was due for release in 2030.

King was sentenced in September to 15 years behind bars for an armed carjacking of a taxicab in 2024 and robbing another person at gunpoint outside Washington, DC, in 2022, when he was 16 years old.
