A Schuylkill County woman has been charged after police say she bit a man during an argument about her card collection.
State Police say they responded to a home on Spruce St. in Tremont late Monday night for a reported domestic disturbance.
At the scene, police say they spoke with the victim of the alleged incident. He said he’d gotten involved in a verbal altercation with Kasey Keefer, 38, over her card collection.
The argument turned physical when Keefer allegedly bit the man on the left wrist. Police report that the victim said he struggled to unlatch Keefer’s jaw from his wrist. Eventually, she let go, he said.
A visible bite mark and open wound was seen on the wrist of the victim, police say.
Keefer has been charged with a misdemeanor count of simple assault and a summary count of harassment. She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
A preliminary hearing before Judge Christian Lengel is scheduled for Feb. 12.
