An inmate at a state prison in Schuylkill County is facing charges after he allegedly smeared feces over his body and then threatened and attacked a corrections officer.
A corrections officer at SCI-Frackville told State Police that on July 3, while in a holding cell, inmate Warren Easley, 38, smeared feces on his own body and then threatened the guard by saying, “I’m going to find your address and (bleeping) kill you bit**!”
Easley then allegedly began swallowing pieces of broken plastic.
The corrections officer told police that he used his pepper spray to compel Easley to comply with his commands. While putting Easley in cuffs, the holding cell door was opened and the inmate allegedly lunged at the corrections officer, hitting him in the chest with his shoulder.
This smeared feces on the corrections officer’s chest, shoulders, and both arms.
Easley was then placed on the floor and then in a restraint chair, where he was decontaminated and given a medical assessment.
For this alleged incident, Easley has been charged with felony aggravated assault by a prisoner and a misdemeanor count of making terroristic threats. His arraignment on these charges is expected on Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli.
According to a report from Beaver County Times, Easley was sentenced in 2011 to nearly five years in state prison after being convicted of robbery, aggravated assault, and illegal gun possession.
That same year, Easley was charged with punching and spitting at guards in an Allegheny County jail.
In 2022, according to a Prison Legal News report, the state agreed to pay Easley $30,000 to settle claims that he was beaten, abused, humiliated, and denied medical care by staff at SCI-Frackville.
