A Schuylkill County man was jailed over the weekend after police say they found him in possession of nude images of a child.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, police in Minersville were visited by a woman who said that 26-year-old Roger Fisher, of Minersville, had been requesting and receiving lewd photos of a 16-year-old girl.
The complainant said the photos were discovered by her son’s girlfriend, who found the photos on Fisher’s phone. She took photos of the Snapchat messages between the victim and Fisher and those images were given to police.
Police say they’ve interviewed the victim and her parents. In that interview, the victim confirmed that images shared with Fisher were here.
In one message, a lewd photo is sent to Fisher along with the message, “But I’m only 15. How old are you?”
Fisher allegedly responds, “18 I’m okay if you okay with it.”
Another nude photo of the victim was then sent to Fisher.
Police have charged Fisher with a third-degree felony count of possessing child pornography and one count of corruption of minors. Fisher was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and sent to Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 bail.
