Woman Accused of Stuffing Items from Sheetz Into Purse Once Again Accused of Stuffing Items Into Purse Without Paying

A woman accused of stuffing a bunch of items from a Schuylkill County Sheetz into her purse and then leaving without paying is once again accused of stuffing a bunch of items into her purse and leaving that same Sheetz without paying.

Management at the Sheetz on Route 61 in North Manheim Township reportedly contacted State Police to say that, on Oct. 20, Chiquita Stokes, 50, previously of Pottsville, entered the store and allegedly helped herself to various items. Stokes allegedly put these items in her purse and then left the store without paying.

On this occasion, Stokes allegedly took:

  • 2 tuna pouches
  • 1 Kimberly’s cupcake
  • 2 David’s cheesecakes
  • 1 loaf of bread
  • 1 pack of paper towels
  • 1 bag of Middleswarth chips

The retail value of these items is $54.52.

Stokes was seen stealing these items during a review of security footage, management tells police.

Several days prior to this alleged theft, Stokes reportedly took a cheeseburger, a bottle of Pepsi, a pack of Albanese gummies, a fountain soda, 13 Big Sipz drinks, 2 BuzzBallz, 2 Stumble Guys, a bag of Utz chips, and a pack of toilet paper.

She also put those items in her purse and left the store without paying.

Stokes is currently housed in Chester County Prison on other retail theft charges. This latest charge would be her 14th retail theft.
