Schuylkill County Man Jailed After Entering Woman’s Home, Causing Disturbance at Local Business

Love jailed on 10% of $2,500 bail

A Schuylkill County man was jailed last week after he allegedly entered a woman’s home and caused a disturbance at a local business.

Police in Tamaqua say a woman reported that Terrence Love had entered her home during the overnight hours of Oct. 30. The woman said she heard a man’s voice. When she went downstairs to investigate, she saw Love sitting on her couch, smoking a cigarette and drinking a soda.

When told to leave, Love did so, according to the woman’s report to police.

Police say they later spotted Love walking by M&S Hardware and told him to no longer go to that home again.

Later that same morning, Love was again seen on the same street and he allegedly entered a local market. Inside, he allegedly caused a disturbance when he began mumbling about a shotgun.

The next morning, police say Love returned to the woman’s home, went on her porch and started looking through the windows. The woman phoned police and when they arrived, he was sitting on the porch.

Love was taken into custody. He was arraigned that afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and charged with felony criminal trespass and misdemeanor counts of defiant trespass and disorderly conduct.

Bayer set bail at 10% of $2,500 and Love was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison, where court documents show he remains as of Nov. 6.
