A Schuylkill County woman who was sentenced to a year of probation earlier this month is in jail again facing a burglary charge.
State Police say they were called to a home on Ann St. in Norwegian Township on Oct. 19 for a reported disturbance.
At the scene, police spoke with a man who said Erika Rhein, 35, who lived just down the road, entered his home through the back door without his permission.
When the man told Rhein to leave, she allegedly refused and became very agitated. Rhein reportedly began throwing items throughout the home, including tossing a stereo system onto the floor and destroying multiple pieces of furniture.
Rhein was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker later that night and charged with felony burglary and a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. Kilker set bail at $15,000 and Rhein was sent to Schuylkill County Prison.
Rhein was also cited for disorderly conduct, a summary offense, on Oct. 15. She was sentenced to a year of probation on a similar charge on Oct. 8.
