A Schuylkill County man is wanted after police say he assaulted his estranged wife and attempted to force himself upon her.
According to court documents, police in Mahanoy City were called to a home in the 500 block of W. Market St. at about 8 p.m. on Oct. 12 for a reported domestic assaulut.
At the scene, police say they spoke with the victim of this alleged incident. She reportedly told police that her husband, 42-year-old Henry Bello-Perez, came into the residence against her will. Bello-Perez has not been living at their home for about a month, she said.
When Bello-Perez got inside, the victim told police that he grabbed her by the wrists and held her arms down at her side. He then allegedly pushed the victim into a bedroom and attempted to have sex with her.
A struggle ensued and the victim reportedly suffered bruising on her wrists. The victim also had bruising under her right eye but police say she was unsure how that happened but it did happen during their struggle.
Bello-Perez allegedly fled the residence and the victim phoned 9-1-1.
Police say the victim gave an address where she believed Bello-Perez was now living but that address did not exist in Mahanoy City.
Bello-Perez is facing two counts of simple assault once he’s apprehended.
