Argument turned violent Tuesday morning, victim tells police

A second Schuylkill County woman has been charged in connection with a second, yet separate, knife-related incident this week.

Police in Frackville say they were called to a home on W. Laurel St. on Tuesday morning, shortly before 8 o’clock, for a reported dispute.

As police arrived, they say they were met outside by Tiana Sausser, 29, who was holding a steak knife and a bread knife in her hands.

Sausser said that her father had punched her in the face and she grabbed the knives to defend herself. However, police say they saw no indication of what Sausser was saying to be true.

Police say they spoke with Sausser’s father who said he was in the kitchen eating when his daughter moved his bowl. He moved the bowl back and that started an argument, he told police.

The argument turned into pushing and shoving.

At some point during the argument, Sausser bit her father’s forearm and held a knife to his throat, he told police.

Once they got that side of the story, police spoke with Sausser who also said an argument began when she moved her father’s bowl. The pushing and shoving was also included in her story, police say.

However, Sausser reportedly said that her father then punched her in the face and put her in a headlock. It was then that she admitted biting her father.

Police have filed simple assault and harassment charges against Sausser. She’s been ordered to appear at a preliminary hearing on these charges on Oct. 15.

Makes no sense. They both admit to pushing and shoving each other. I would think legally he would have to be charged too. Even if it’s of a lesser offense like harassment. No wonder Frackville is being federally investigated.
