Saint Clair School District Going Full Virtual Until After Thanksgiving

Saint Clair School District announced Wednesday that it’s switching to a full virtual learning plan until after the Thanksgiving break.

The switch to a full virtual schedule starts on Monday, Nov. 16. In-person classes resume on Dec. 1.

Saint Clair says it’s taking the step due to a rising number of cases of COVID-19 within the district and across Schuylkill County.

Saint Clair School District Going All Virtual Until After Thanksgiving

“We have numerous students and staff out sick at this time. Due to this alarming increase, we will be changing our educational delivery model beginning this Monday,” District Superintendent Thomas McLaughlin writes in a letter to parents on Wednesday.

McLaughlin says through the end of this week, teachers will be sending students home with their “iPads, learning materials, and login information” for all their classes.

“The health and safety of our students and staff is paramount,” he writes. “We thank you for your patience and cooperation during these difficult times.”
