A Schuylkill County woman is facing charges after police say she subjected neighbors to ongoing harassment, including repeatedly yelling racial slurs and trespassing on their property.
State Police say they responded to a report of harassment on Main St. in Middleport shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 last year. A victim told police that Sandra Davis, 60, of Middleport, who lives nearby, walked past the residence and began yelling unprovoked racial slurs.
The victim reported to police that over the past three weeks, Davis yelled obscenities and racial slurs multiple times while the victim was outside with relatives. The victim stated Davis called her a “bitch” and the “N word”, and called her a “wetback” that day.
The victim also told police that Davis walks her dog and allows it to defecate and urinate on their lawn. The family was actively trying to put up a more secure fence because Davis had no regard for their property, the victim reportedly told police, adding that they want to be left alone and do not want contact with Davis.
Another victim at the scene corroborated the events, telling police he did not know what Davis’s problem was. He told police Davis walked by yelling and cursing at them, called him a “wetback,” and that she constantly harasses them. He also said Davis trespassed on their property numerous times with her dog over the last several weeks.
Police say they viewed several security clips at the scene that verified the victims’ claims.
Earlier this week, State Police filed misdemeanor charges of ethnic intimidation and harassment, as well as a summary count of criminal trespass, against Davis. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5 at District Court in Port Carbon.
