A Schuylkill County woman was jailed Monday after police say she headbutted and punched her ex-husband and was found in possession of methamphetamine at a home in Wayne Township.
State Police say they responded to a report of a domestic dispute Monday morning at a home in Blue Mountain Heights. The victim told police that Kim Leininger, 56, had been staying at his residence for a few days when they got into a verbal argument over a set of keys.
The victim told police he closed and locked the back door, but Leininger began banging on it. The victim said he opened the door slightly so Leininger could hand him the keys. At that point, the victim alleges Leininger pushed her way inside and tried to grab the keys back.
During the altercation, the victim claims Leininger punched him two to three times on the right side of his face, headbutted him on his right shoulder and face, and scratched the right side of his neck.
Police say they observed swelling and bruising on the victim’s right cheek, along with scratches on his neck.
When police took Leininger into custody, they say they found a clear Ziploc-style bag containing methamphetamine in the right jacket pocket.
Leininger was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Christian Lengel and charged with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and possession of a controlled substance and a summary count of harassment. Lengel set bail at $2,500.
