A Boil Water Advisory has been issued for a large portion of Pottsville.
Schuylkill County Municipal Authority says the 16-inch water main on N. Centre St. has been repaired.
However, the authority has been forced to issue a Water Boil Advisory as a result of that water main break from earlier on Sunday.

The Water Boil Advisory affects customers on the Broad Mountain Water System in the following areas of Pottsville (map above):
- From 15th St. to Route 61;
- From N. Centre and Nichols streets to S. Centre and Coal streets.
Affected customers are likely going to get a call directly from SCMA. However, if customers are in this affected area and do not receive a call, they’re asked to contact SCMA to update contact information.
People in the Water Boil Advisory area should boil their water for at least one minute prior to using it for drinking.
