Imagine spending the first year and a half of your life watching the world through the bars of a crate. That was Boop’s reality.
Boop is currently safe at the Hillside SPCA, and for the first time in her life, she is learning what freedom tastes like.
Boop is a truly unique soul … a mix of Dalmatian, French Bulldog, and Shih Tzu. This one-of-a-kind combination has given her a look you won’t see anywhere else and a personality to match.
Because she spent so much time confined, she has a lot of energy to burn. She is playful, bubbly, and yes, a little bit wild. But that “wildness” isn’t bad behavior; it’s just pure, unadulterated joy. It is the zoomies of a dog who finally has room to zoom.
While she is making up for lost time, Boop is still learning to trust. She can be a little scared at first, but underneath that hesitation is a generally friendly girl who desperately wants to connect. She gets along well with other dogs, and having a confident canine sibling might actually help her learn the ropes. A meet-and-greet might help you to learn if she’s right for your forever home.
Boop is looking for a patient leader who understands that she is still learning how to be a dog. She doesn’t need perfection; she needs stability. Her ideal family will be one that can handle her zest for life while offering a gentle hand to guide her through the scary moments. She needs to know, deep down, that the next door she walks through is the one she stays behind forever.
