Furiday Friends: Skip Is Ready to Stay Put

A friendly tabby who loves the simple things

It’s Furiday Friends on Coal Region Canary!

Each week, we highlight a pet who is ready to trade shelter life for something better. This week’s featured friend is Skip, a tabby estimated to be about 5 years old whose journey to safety took a little patience and a lot of heart.

Skip was finally caught after scampering around the Hillside SPCA grounds for a while, and now that he is safe, his true personality is shining through.

He is a very good boy who is friendly, gentle, and comfortable around both cats and dogs. Once he trusts you, Skip is happy to share space, affection, and quiet companionship.

He loves catnip toys, enjoys lounging, and could happily spend hours perched by a window watching the world go by. Skip is the kind of cat who brings calm to a home. He does not demand attention but gladly accepts it when offered.

After spending so much time on his own, Skip is ready for a home where he can finally settle in, feel secure, and enjoy the simple comforts he missed for so long.
