A Pottsville man was hospitalized last week after police say his electric scooter was struck by a tractor-trailer on Route 61.
Andre Fleming was traveling in the right, southbound lane in the 400 block of the highway around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 11 when he was struck by a truck driven by Chad Miller, of Tunkhannock, according to police.
Police say Fleming was thrown from the scooter and landed a short distance away. Investigators noted that Fleming was wearing dark clothing and the scooter did not have rear lights at the time of the crash.
Fleming was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-East for treatment. His condition is not report. An investigation is ongoing.
