Schuylkill County Man Jailed on Charge He Attempted to Attack Woman with Pizza Cutter

A Schuylkill County man is in jail after police say he tried attacking a woman with a pizza cutter.

Police in McAdoo say they were dispatched to a home on E. Grant St. at about 9 p.m. on Nov. 10.

At the scene, police say they spoke with a woman who accused Cedric Worthy, 19, of entering her home through the basement door, breaking the door.

Worthy, she said, began screaming and cursing and swinging a pizza cutter trying to hurt her with it.

Police say they took Worthy before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and charged him with making terroristic threats, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

Tarantelli set bail at 10% of $2,500 and remanded Worthy to Schuylkill County Prison. A preliminary hearing before Tarantelli is scheduled for Nov. 26.
