National Weather Service is cautioning overnight motorists about the possibility of dense fog in some areas of Schuylkill County.
Visibility could be reduced to a quarter-mile or less through the overnight hours. Compounding the issue are near- or below-freezing temperatures. That could lead to some slick spots on roads, especially on bridges and overpasses. Sidewalks could be slick, too.
Motorists are urged to be cautious of changes in visibility over a short distance and a thin layer of ice that may be difficult to see.
Fog is expected to dissipate and visibility will steadily improve into Thursday morning.
