A man is facing a criminal mischief charge after allegedly admitting to putting sugar in a Schuylkill County woman’s gas tank.
Police in Minersville say they were called the 300 block of Sunbury St., to the scene of a domestic dispute on Sep. 29.
When they arrived, both the accused and the complainant were there. The woman said that Tyler Alston, 24, of York, had poured sugar in her gas tank.
Police say they observed a large, open bag of granulated sugar on the ground naer the opened gas tank. Sugar was inside the tank and scattered on and around the vehicle.
Alston then allegedly openly admitted to police, “I did that sh**. I did it. Her (bleeping) a** knew that sh** was coming.”
Police say they received an invoice from a local mechanic who conducted repairs to the vehicle. That invoice was for $1,032.54.
Alston has been ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing at District Court in Port Carbon on Dec. 2.
