Schuylkill County Man Reportedly Crashes Vehicle, Yells at Neighbors, Threatens Them and Police

Bohr held on $20K bail

A Schuylkill County man was jailed over the weekend after he alleged crashed his vehicle into a neighbor’s vehicle and then began threatening those neighbors and police.

According to court documents, Troopers from State Police-Schuylkill Haven were called to the 100 block of W. Main St. in Tremont at about 4 a.m. on Sept. 21 for a report of a man screaming and making threats in the roadway.

Police say when they arrived on scene, Johnathan Bohr, 24, was yelling at his neighbors.

The neighbors to whom Bohr was allegeldy yelling told police that it was about parking and that Bohr had just crashed his vehicle into theirs.

Bohr, who police say was clearly intoxicated, reportedly first said that the crashed vehicle wasn’t his and that his was “at back” but then admitted it was his vehicle.

“Oh yeah. I get you now. That is my car, I’m sorry,” Bohr allegedly said to police.

When police asked Bohr how much he’d had to drink that night, he first said, “Just, I bought,” and then said, “Not even, uh, not even a cup.” As to where he had been drinking that night, Bohr allegedly said, “Just like, I don’t know.”

Bohr told police that he began yelling at his neighbors because they were being disrespectful to his mother.

Following sobriety tests that police say confirmed Bohr’s intoxication, he was taken to the Schuylkill Haven State Police barracks. While in custody, Bohr reportedly started making verbal threats against his neighbors and police.

About his neighbors, police quote him as saying, “I’m gonna (bleeping) turn up hell when I get out. I promise you. I promise you. These neighbors aren’t gonna want to live here. I promise you. Cause nothing’s gonna save them.”

He then said, “Wait until I get home, bro. It’s over. It’s a wrap. I want to knock on that door. I want to tell them how much they’re wrong. I want to destroy their property. I want to (destroy) everything they (bleeping) love.”

At the police barracks, Bohr turned his threats to police and reportedly said he knew all the Troopers were from Schuylkill County and that he and his friends were coming for them and their families.

Bohr was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley and charged with two misdemeanor counts of making terroristic threats and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and DUI. He’s also been charged with two summary counts of harassment and one for careless driving.

Reiley set bail at $20,000 cash and Bohr was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison, where he remains as of this post publishing.
