Initial details about the investigation into an incident in New Philadelphia on Saturday night have been released.
State Police Troop L Public Information Officer Ethan Brownback tells Coal Region Canary that police responded to 120 Water St. in New Philadelphia on Sept. 13 for a report of a disturbance.
At the scene, police learned that a vehicle had been struck by a projectile.
Through investigation, police say they learned that Martin Williams used a pellet gun and shot at the victim’s vehicle as it drove by the house. Two adults and a child in a car seat were inside the vehicle at the time the shot was fired.
No injuries were reported.
The incident drew a large police presence to Water St. and investigators remained on the scene for several hours.
Brownback says that charges are expected to be filed against Williams.
