Police Seek ID on Driver Who Topped 100 MPH During Vehicle Pursuit on I-81 Earlier This Month

Police in Schuylkill County are looking for a driver who eluded them during a high-speed pursuit recently.

According to information from State Police-Frackville, the incident reportedly happened back on March 21, shortly before 6 p.m., on Interstate 81 in Delano Township.

Police say they attempted to conduct a traffic stop for speeding on a 2022 blue Subaru Impreza. The vehicle was allegedly speeding in the southbound lanes of the interstate. 

However, the driver of the vehicle sped away from Troopers, reportedly going in excess of 100 mph and passing vehicles on the shoulder of I-81. 

Police say the vehicle’s registration is LYV9976. The vehicle traveled into Mahanoy City after police terminated their pursuit.
