Orwigsburg has hired a new Borough Manager.
William Reppy was approved by a 6-1 vote at Wednesday night’s council meeting.
Councilman Tim Wilhelm was the lone dissenting vote on hiring Reppy.
Reppy will begin the job on July 15 and replaces Randy Miller as Borough Manager. His salary will range between $90,000 and $91,800, depending on whether he accepts the borough’s insurance.
For the previous 16-plus years, Reppy has worked with Lehigh Valley Health Network, most recently serving since July 2021 as the Vice President of the Northwest Region.
From September 2016 until November 2023, Reppy was President of Lehigh Valley Hospital’s Schuylkill East and South campuses in Pottsville.
Reppy served as Schuylkill County Administrator from February 2005 until June 2007.
Council President Richard Bubeck told The Canary that Reppy was hired as Borough Manager because he was the best candidate who applied for the job.
“His qualifications exceed what we’re looking for here,” Bubeck said.
