Pottsville Area School District announced Sunday evening that one of its students has died in a vehicle crash.
Few details on the crash – when or where it happened – are provided by the school, which updated parents through an email on Sunday.
“It is with profound sadness that I am reaching out due to Pottsville Area High School student Kayden Zelinsky passing away in a car accident,” Superintendent Sarah Yoder writes in her email.
Pottsville Area is providing counseling services to students and families affected by Zelinsky’s passing. Students or parents should contact counselors at their school for help.
“We extend our most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Kayden,” Yoder adds.
We’ll provide details on the crash that resulted in this student’s death when authorities make them available.
