Schuylkill County Woman Charged for Flashing Traffic

A Schuylkill County woman is facing an indecent exposure charge after allegedly flashing traffic in Cressona. 

According to information from State Police-Schuylkill Haven, troopers were sent to the area of Pottsville and Hock streets in Cressona back on the evening of Nov. 1. Someone in that area was reportedly flashing the passing traffic. 

The caller to police said a woman was pulling her pants down as traffic drove by. 

When police arrived, they took 64-year-old Faith Strause, of Schuylkill Haven, into custody.

Strause was arraigned that night before District Magistrate Stephen Bayer and released on $5,000 unsecured bail. She’s facing misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness. 

A preliminary hearing on this case is now set for Dec. 19 before Judge AJ Serina.

    She doesn’t need to be arrested. She needs help. This is not something a 64 yo women does.

    Yes she has mental problems and should be at a place where she would get the help she needs. She has yelled at me in a parking lot once for no reason.I’ve heard her bad mouthing people in a restaurant. When someone did try to help her once she refused.
    She really does need help
