Traffic Snarled During Snow Squalls in Schuylkill County on Monday

Crash on interstate involves 20+ vehicles, according to reports.

Some morning snowfall in Schuylkill County may have caused some major problems on Schuylkill County roadways Monday morning.

Police and emergency personnel are at the scene of at least 2 major incidents right now.

First, there’s a massive pileup of vehicles near Mile Marker 116 on Interstate 81-North.

Reports from the scene on emergency radio indicate somewhere near 20 vehicles are involved. At least one vehicle was on fire and another vehicle had someone trapped inside.

Meanwhile, a rollover crash was reported on the Gordon Nagle Trail in central Schuylkill County, near the area of Trail Gardens, outside Cressona.
