Someone chucked eggs at an Orwigsburg Police cruiser recently and State Police are looking to find out who did it.

According to information from State Police in Schuylkill Haven, right around midnight on Feb. 22-23, two vehicles were hit by eggs while traveling on Chestnut Road, on the way into Orwigsburg.

Police pinpoint the area as the 1000 block of Chestnut in West Brunswick Township.

One of the two vehicles hit was an Orwigsburg Police cruiser. Another was an SUV driven by Linda McBreen, 70, of Schuylkill Haven.

The eggs did some damage, too. Police say both vehicles sustained some chipped paint. McBreen’s SUV was hit on the hood. And the police cruiser got hit on the passenger door and side bumper.

The person or persons responsible face criminal mischief charges.

Here’s what else happened in the area recently:

Running a Red Light Results in West Brunswick Crash

Police say a Pottsville woman, Donna Seltzer, 57, ran a red light at Municipal Road and Route 61 in West Brunswick Township last week. As she did, her vehicle smashed into another heading north on the highway.

The driver of that vehicle, 60-year-old John Neff, of Walnutport, sustained minor injuries in the crash. When Seltzer’s vehicle ran through the red light, Neff’s vehicle went through a guide rail on the side of the road and down a small embankment, police say. Neff was transported to a nearby hospital.

Graffiti Sprayed on Cressona Driveway

Police are looking for information into an alleged graffiti incident in Cressona recently.

PSP-Schuylkill Haven say that someone painted some “obscene graffiti” on a macadam driveway owned by Richard Wright, 36, of Cressona.
