Schuylkill County Woman Jailed After Allegedly Stabbing Juvenile with Scissors

Williams held on $150K bail

A Schuylkill County woman is in jail after police say she stabbed a juvenile in the head and hands with a pair of scissors Tuesday morning.

Elisha Williams, 51, of Shenandoah, is charged with aggravated assault, four counts of simple assault, endangering the welfare of children, two counts of possessing an instrument of crime, and harassment. She was arraigned this morning and is being held at Schuylkill County Prison on $150,000 bail.

Troopers were dispatched to a West Mahanoy Township home shortly after 7 a.m. for a report of an active domestic altercation, police say. A caller reported a physical altercation between Williams and the juvenile.

While troopers were on the way, the caller reported that Williams now had a knife and a pair of scissors, according to police.

When they arrived, the juvenile quickly asked a Trooper for medical attention for stab wounds to his head and hands, police say. The juvenile told police Williams stabbed him with a pair of scissors on his hands and in the back of his head.

A Trooper says they observed cuts and puncture wounds on the juvenile’s hands and a stream of blood coming from the back right side of his head.

The caller told police the altercation happened because the front door to the residence was locked. Williams had told them not to lock the door because she was going to be outside the entire night, the caller told police.

Another witness confirmed the account to police and said Williams was threatening her, the juvenile, and the caller while holding a knife.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 15 before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker.
