Management at Fairlane Village Mall have confirmed that construction on a Five Below store will begin this month.
The Philadelphia-based retailer, which sells a variety of trendy items mostly between $1-5, operates thousands of stores nationwide and is currently rapidly expanding its footprint.
The Five Below expected to open at the mall outside Pottsville would be the first location in Schuylkill County.
According to Patty Coughlin, property administrator at Fairlane Village Mall, construction on the Five Below is expected to start this month. In order to fit the store into the mall’s current footprint, four vacant stores will be demolished. A section of what remains of the shopping mall will also be consumed by the Five Below.
The Five Below, like all other recent addiitions at the shopping center, will have its own entrance.
Coughlin did not disclose to Coal Region Canary when the Five Below store would open at Fairlane Village Mall.
