Schuylkill County residents, starting next week, will have a chance to unload used tires, appliances, scrap metal, and other large bulky items.
The annual Fall cleanup and recycling event is scheduled for several locations across Schuylkill County, starting on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Check out the info box below for more information and where a Fall Cleanup site is nearest to you.

Schuylkill County, working with the municipalities and businesses below, is running a drop-off program open to all county residents over two weeks in September. Sites, dates and hours are different at every location — check yours before you load up.

What It Costs

| Bulky items — mattresses, box springs, rolls of carpet, doors, windows | $10 each |
| Sofas and overstuffed chairs — per cushion (a love seat is 2 cushions, or $10) | $5 per cushion |
| Electronics | Not accepted |
Before You Go
- Proof of county residency is required.
- Tire limit: 20 tires per load, and no more than two loads per customer.
- No household hazardous waste — paints, solvents, cleaners and poisons will not be accepted.
- No commercial appliances.
- Municipalities are also charged the per-tire fee and are asked to schedule large loads with the host site in advance.
