A Schuylkill County man is facing a trespassing charge after he went inside a store where he wasn’t allowed because he had to use the restroom.
Police in Pottsville say they were called to the 7-Eleven at just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 9 for a report of a man trespassing on the property. Luis Haddock, 34, of Pottsville, was previously barred from entering the store, police say, but he decided to visit the convenience store that night.
When he asked to use the restroom, the store manager told him he had to go.
By the time police arrived, Haddock was gone. He was spotted a short time later on Progress Ave. When police caught up with him, Haddock reportedly admitted he knew he wasn’t permitted inside the 7-Eleven but went in anyway because he “had to take a poop.”
Haddock has been charged with a misdemeanor count of defiant trespass. He’ll answer to that charge at a preliminary hearing on Sept. 28.
