A Schuylkill County woman who goes by the nickname Poo Poo was cleared of all charges against her in an alleged aggravated assault back in March.
Griselle Lee, 30, of Minersville, appeared before Senior Magisterial District Judge Edward Lewis in Port Carbon on Tuesday morning for her preliminary hearing. However, the woman she was accused of assaulting in the 300 blcok of North St. back on the night of March 18 failed to appear in court to testify.
Assistant District Attorney David Noon told Lewis that the Commonwealth had no legitimate reason to request a continuance in the case, believing Lee’s alleged victim was not going to appear to testify. Minersville Police reportedly attempted to get the victim to come forward to testify on Tuesday but she refused.
Lee had been accused of exiting a minivan on March 18, walking up to the victim, and punching her repeatedly. The assault allegedly continued after the victim fell to the ground. Lee then got back in the van and fled the scene. The victim reportedly suffered a broken cheek and nose as a result of the alleged assault.
After an arrest warrant was issued for her, Lee eventually turned herself in to authorities in April and was charnged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. She was released on $25,000 unsecured bail at that time.
