Schuylkill County Woman Suspected of Transporting Kidnapped Girls from Tennessee

60-year-old Tamaqua woman awaiting extradition

A Schuylkill County woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion that she was transporting two kidnapped girls from Tennessee.

According to State Police-Carlisle, Troopers were notified that two juvenile girls had been kidnapped in Tennessee.

Police say they conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle suspected of transporting the kidnapped girls on Interstate 81-North in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County.

Both juveniles were located safely inside the vehicle.

Taken into custody at the scene of the traffic stop were 60-year-old Ana Rodriguez Gonzalez, of Tamaqua, and Henry Rodriguez, 36, of Allentown.

Rodriguez and Rodriguez-Gonzalez were both taken to Cumberland County Prison to await extradition to Tennessee, police say.
