An arrest warrant has been issued for a Schuylkill County man because police believe he’s violated the terms of registering as a sex offender.
Glenn Guldin, 48, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, is considered an absconder after police received and followed up on a tip that he wasn’t living at his reported address.
Police say they reviewed Guldin’s Megan’s Law Section Information Report and saw that he’s required to report every three months to law enforcement. During those check-ins, he’s to verify his address, employment, confirm his counseling is ongoing, among other information.
Guldin, police say, appeared at the State Police-Reading barracks on Aug. 1 and then at the Schuylkill Haven barracks on May 6 and most recently on Nov. 1. During each of those visits, Guldin allegedly verified that he lived at Sammy’s Mobile Home Park near Schuylkill Haven and has been living there since 2021. He also said he worked at Manheim Diner, a job he allegedly started on Jan. 27.
Since Guldin is labeled a sexually violent predator, he’s required to seek monthly counseling sessions. He reportedly told police that he was attending counseling sessions at PA Counseling in Pottsville.
On Oct. 29, police say they visited his supposed home and found that it was listed for sale and there was a real estate agent’s lock on the door. After talking with the owner of the mobile home park, police say they learned that Guldin moved out in January.
Police say they also spoke with management at the diner and learned that Guldin hadn’t worked there since February and that he walked off the job.
Lastly, police say they learned that Guldin never attended a counseling session, like he said he did when signing his verification with police.
Guldin was convicted of aggravated indecent assault of a minor on May 4, 2011.
Police are now charging Guldin with three felony counts of failing to provide accurate registration information as well as misdemeanor counts of failing to comply with counseling and unsworn falsification to authorities.
Guldin is described as being 6-2 with blue eyes and blonde hair. He has a scar under his right eye.
