Man Found Passed Out in Vehicle on Schuylkill County Property Had Meth, Fentanyl, Xylazine, Police Say

Numerous items recovered during vehicle search

A man passed out in his vehicle on a Schuylkill County property last year had methamphetamine, fentanyl, and xylazine inside, police say.

According to court documents, Troopers from State Police-Schuylkill Haven were dispatched to a property on Fey Ln. in Barry Township just before 10:30 a.m. on April 3, 2024, for a report of an unresponsive man inside a white Ford Explorer on private property.

Police say when they arrived on the scene, a man – identified as 28-year-old Dyllon Miller, of Harrisburg – said he parked his vehicle on this property after he had been arguing with his girlfriend and figured it would be safe to sleep there.

Miller, it was learned, had an active arrest warrant for failing to appear on another drug-related case.

Police say they questioned Miller if there was any illegal items inside his vehicle, to which he said there wasn’t. As Miller was taken from his vehicle and placed into a State Police patrol vehicle, Troopers noticed track marks on his left arm.

Miller then allegedly asked police to retrieve his phone from the Explorer and while doing so, a glass smoking pipe with residue in it was discovered next to a folded piece of tinfoil that also contained residue.

Police say Miller then refused to allow them to search his vehicle further. A search warrant was obtained to search the vehicle after it had been taken back to the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Later that afternoon on April 3, police say a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of numerous items containing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Some of those items were sent to the PSP Regional Laboratory in Bethlehem for testing.

The results of the testing were returned to Schuylkill County on Aug. 8 of last year. Those showed that among the items collected from the vehicle were nearly 5 grams of methamphetamine and about 2 grams of xylazine and fentanyl.

Police have charged Miller with possession with intent to deliver, a felony, as well as misdemeanors for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and defiant trespass.
