State Police in Schuylkill County are looking to identify suspects in identity theft and fraud incident at banks in the area last month.
On May 27, a male suspect (pictured above, on the left) entered the Hidden River Credit Union location on Mahanoy Ave. in Tamaqua.
Police say he used a fraudulent New Jersey driver’s license with a victim’s identifiable information. However, the suspect reportedly gave the wrong account information and was denied service.
Less than two weeks later, on May 19, the female suspect (pictured above, on the right) went to the Hidden River Credit Union on W. Market St. in Orwigsburg.
The female suspect also used a fraudulent New Jersey driver’s license with the victim’s wife’s information and cashed a fraudulent check for $2,800. She then withdrew $1,500 in cash from the victim’s account.
