State Rep. Dane Watro (R-Schuylkill/Luzerne) was appointed to be the Republican Chairman of the Subcommittee on Cities under the Local Government Committee.
Watro says in a statement on his new appointment, “I am honored to have been chosen by Republican Local Government Committee Chairman Brett Miller (R-Lancaster) to serve in a leadership capacity with this subcommittee. I look forward to working with my colleagues on legislation related to important issues facing the Commonwealth’s cities.”
Watro is also serving on the Education, Insurance, Professional Licensure, and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committees in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
He was re-elected to represent the 116th District in the House last November.
