A Schuylkill County woman is in jail Monday after police say she was involved in a series of violent incidents over the last two days.
According to court documents filed by Saint Clair Police on Dec. 29 and Dec. 30, officers were dispatched to an address on S. 2nd St. in the borough just before 6 p.m. on Sunday for a report of an assault.
While on the scene, police learned from the mother of Dominique Petrozino that she had a cigarette rolling machine thrown at her, striking her in the forehead. This caused the mother to bleed.
Police asked Petrozino why her mother was bleeding and after first denying any involvement, she said she slapped her mother to “knock some sense into her.” While police were placing Petrozino in custody, police say she allegedly threatened her mother and said she would “cut her throat.”
After this incident, Petrozino was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and making terroristic threats. She was arraigned before District Magistrate Judge Anthony Kilker and released on $25,000 unsecured bail. Police say Petrozino was told not to return to the address of the incident Sunday and not to have contact with her mother, the victim.
Those orders were apparently ignored because shortly after 5 a.m. Monday, police were again dispatched to the same address. When they arrived, they saw that the door to the apartment had a hole in it. Later, they learned that Petrozino had smashed the door and reached inside to unlock it.
Inside, Petrozino was in the kitchen and waving a stick. Police say Petrozino appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
While interviewing Petrozino’s mother during this second incident, they learned that Petrozino had allegedly tried to bite her on the neck. And while she was on the phone with 9-1-1, Petrozino took her phone and threw it in the toilet.
Police say while they were trying to get Petrozino in custody for the second time, she kept making “outlandish” statements and banging on the inside of the vehicle.
Petrozino was again arraigned before Kilker on Monday morning and charged with first-degree felony burglary, second-degree felony criminal trespass and misdemeanors for resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct, along with a couple summary offenses.
Kilker remanded Petrozino to Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 bail, which hasn’t been posted.
