Police are investigating a reported social media scam in which a Schuylkill County woman was allegedly bilked out of a massive amount of money.
According to State Police-Schuylkill Haven, they were approached by a North Manheim Township earlier this month. There, a woman told Troopers that she’d been involved in a “romantic relationship” with someone on social media.
She told police that over the course of two years, she was scammed out of $125,000.
No other details have been provided by police. State Police are continuing their investigation into this report.
