A Schuylkill County man will spend nearly the next 6 years in a federal prison after being sentenced on a meth trafficking conviction.
According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, District Court Judge Robert Mariani sentenced Javier Guzman, 52, of Pottsville, to 70 months (5 years, 10 months) in a federal prison on Tuesday.
Guzman previously pleaded guilty to a possession with intent to delivery crystal methamphetamine charge. Authorities say Guzman had between 50 and 200 grams of a “high-quality” crystal meth that he was distributing in Schuylkill County in 2022.
An FBI and Schuylkill County Drug Task Force investigation led to Guzman’s arrest.
