At today’s meeting, Commissioners got a brief update on how the County spent what’s left of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. During the Public Comment portion of the meeting, there was a bit of indirect back-and-forth regarding operations at the County Tax Claims office at the Courthouse, following several social media posts critical of its operations.

If anyone has doubts regarding the current conditions existing in the Schuylkill County Tax Claim Office, just take a look at the photos posted on Dunkel for Commish facebook page. Mountains of paperwork, files, registered letters, etc…piled on any horizontal surface in the office. How can they find anything? Why are the commissioners tolerating this? Bring back the two suspended employees, the office has gone downhill during their absence.
