Cecilia “Cheech” Campbell, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family.
Daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Carullo, Cheech was born on December 20, 1946 in Ashland, and was a 1964 high school graduate of Immaculate Heart.
A prior owner of a pool business, Cheech also worked at Olympic Pools in Wilkes-Barre as a manager and saleswoman for 23 years and thoroughly enjoyed selling fun and recreation. She valued her work and loved her customers whom she treated like family.
Cheech was a proud and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a natural gift for making you feel as though you were the only person in the room. She loved to entertain during holidays, watch her stories with her cats, cheer during football season, and spend time celebrating her family. Additionally, Cheech’s love language was feeding and serving others. From her holiday soup to her meatballs to her most magical angel hair pasta, everyone felt (and tasted) the strong love and security she provided through her cooking.
Cecilia positively impacted everyone’s life with her bright laughter, warm personality, and genuine soul. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
