Shirley Catherine (Hanshaw) Smith, 85 – Worked in Textile Factories

Shirley Catherine Smith, 85, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, June 26th, at home.

Born in Hummelstown on June 25, 1938, she was a daughter of the late William A. & Rose (Brighton) Hanshaw.

She was the widow of the late Guy Edward Smith, her husband of 37 years.

Shirley was of the Protestant faith.

She had worked at several textile factories in Dauphin & Schuylkill counties.

Shirley is survived by a son, Guy W., husband of Natalie Smith, of Friedensburg, two grandsons: Eric, & Nicholas Smith, siblings: Mildred, James, Gary, & Richard Hanshaw, and Anna Hoffman, and numerous nieces, & nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by several siblings, including her twin sister, Doris Phillips.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service was held on Thursday, June 29th at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. Interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
