Jean E. Tobias, 99, of Conrad Richter Dr., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill East.
Born on February 16, 1924 in Rehrersburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Kathryn Bucher Weida.
Jean was a seamstress. She also raised horses and skunks, which she descented. She was an avid hunter, sportsman, taxidermist and loved the outdoors. She also had two dachshunds that she loved.
She was a member of the Pine Grove Fish and Game, Bethel Fire Co. and Mt. Aetna Fire Co.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ronald D Tobias on December 24, 2019.
Surviving are extended family and close friends.
Graveside Services and interment for both Ronald and Jean will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a procession leaving the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, at 10:15 a.m. Anyone wishing to follow in the procession is asked to be at the Funeral Home by 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Dr., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.
